He is survived by: his wife Barbara Birsa; his children, Sue Swanson (Jason), Shelly Snyder (Tom), Andy Birsa (Molly) and Nicole Koopmann; his grandchildren, Sarah Schimanski (Amanda), Thomas Snyder (Allie), Ben Swanson, Scott Schimanski, Joshua Snyder, Steven Schimanski, Natalie Snyder, Jacob Swanson, Andrew Birsa, Anthony Birsa, Alexander Koopmann and Emma Birsa; his siblings, Ellen Seeman, Dorothy Tomasino and Jack Birsa (Mary Jane); and his siblings-in-law, Paula Imerman and Gene Martin (Cindy).
