It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rodger L. Opfer of Shobonier, Illinois, who passed away on December 23, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Opfer and Erna Opfer (Wollin); his sister Velva; and his brother-in-law Norman Hofmann. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Braden; his children, Melanie Beville (Lawrence) and Nathan; and his grandchildren, Alexander, Jacqueline and Andrew. He is also survived by many cousins, brothers and sisters- in- law, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Luthern Church (1608 E 800 Ave, Shobonier, IL 62854). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (1608 E 800 Ave, Shobonier, IL 62854).
Memorials may go to St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery Fund or the donor's choice.
