She was predeceased by: her parents, William Torbeck and Pearlnelda Torbeck (Lehde); her husband George Martin Sasse; and her siblings, Nelson Torbeck, Elden Torbeck and Inez Gadel.
She is survived by: her children, JoAnn Givens of Shobonier and Jerry Sasse of Vandalia; her daughter-in-law Cheryl Sasse of Vandalia; her sisters-in-law, Janice Torbeck of Vandalia and Dottie Torbeck of Champaign; her grandchildren, Jascha (Derek Nestrick), Chelsa Sasse (Mike Schulte), Marc Sasse and Alex Sasse; and her great grandchildren, Chandler Sasse, Gracie Pruett, Preston Nestrick, Kendall Nestrick and Sydnee Nestrick. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Augsburg Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery or Altamont Lutheran Care Center.
