He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Lay and Laverne Lay. He is survived by: his children, Karen Kindred Shirley (Kevin Kennel), Mike Lay (Barbie), Shirley and Michele (Tim Becker); his grandchildren, Kyle, Kirsten Kindred and Shirley; his children, Hollie Craig (Daniel), Morgan Luebbering (Justin), Paul Becker (Gracie), Dan Becker (Morgan) of Kansas City, MO and Kate Medler Chatham (Jonathan); his sister Mary Gottschalk (Royce); and his friend Scott Davis. He is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Randolph Township Fire Department or Heyworth Ambulance Service.
