John Alward Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Alward of Shipman, Illinois, born in Carlinville, Illinois, who passed away on December 16, 2021 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Alward and Florence Alward (Bruggeman); his brother Leslie Alward; and his parents-in-law, Dolores Alward, Donald Bierman, Ray Eichen and Dorothy Bierman.
He is survived by: his wife Lolita Bierman; his sons, James Alward of Alton and Dwayne Alward of Champaign; his brother Marlyn Alward (Margaret); and his parents-in-law, Margaret Bierman, Donella Eichen, Bob Bierman, Joe Bierman (Jane), Charlie Bierman (Linda), Phillis Bierman and Darryl Bierman. He is also survived by numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, and extended family and friends.
Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church in Shipman or Macoupin County 4H.
