He was predeceased by: his parents, George E. Gibson and Margaret E. Gibson (Davis); his wife Patricia A. Gibson (Mewes); his daughter Barbara Jean Perkins; and his siblings, Earl, Harold Gibson and Dorothy Taul.
He is survived by: his daughter Marsha Smith (Walter "Bud") of Carlinville; his grandchildren, Patrick Miller (Melinda), Brian Miller (Stacey), Candace Jackson (Bob), Walter Smith (Jennifer) and Joseph Miller (Michele); his siblings, Mary Loy (Roger), Evelyn Drew, Bill Gibson (Donna), John Gibson (Wilma) and Elmer Gibson (Joyce); his sister-in-law Grace Gibson; and his nephew Danlee Reiher. He is also survived by nineteen Great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren.
