With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William Woodrow Russell Sr. of Sherman, Illinois, born in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on January 12, 2021 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Russell and Lucy Malloy Russell. He is survived by: his spouse Sherron Mann; his children, Deborah Childress of Springfield, William W. Russell, Jr. (Debra) of Pleasant Plains, James Russell (Jan) of Springfield, Michael Russell (Sandra) of Springfield, Kevin Russell (Kim) of Springfield and Chris Russell (Tami) of Springfield; and his siblings, Kay Miller of Springfield, Susan Graves of Battle Ground, WA, Woodrow Russell and Randy Russell of Battle Ground, WA. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sangamon County Rescue Squad or Land of Lincoln Honor Flight.
