He is survived by: his children, Christopher Lee Bender (Kanoelehua) of Springfield and Stephanie Ann Fowles (James) of Springfield; and his grandchildren, Emmalia, Kaiwi, Kalea, Makanoe Bender, Wesley Fowles and Reid Fowles. He is also survived by three sisters-in-law and their husbands and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
