He was predeceased by: his nephew Seth Tavine. He is survived by: his son Joseph "Joe" Tavine (Jodelle) of Sherman; his grandson Michael "Max" Tavine; and his brothers, Michael Tavine (Terry) of Chicago and Patrick Tavine of Springfield. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
