He was predeceased by: his parents, John Armstrong and Bessie Armstrong (Arthur); and his siblings, Sue Blankenship, Mary "Jackie" Meyer and John Lawrence Armstrong.
He is survived by: his wife Nickie Armstrong of Sherman; his children, William "Billy" Armstrong of Florida, Derek Rector (Theresa) of San Diego, CA, April Armstrong of Mt. Sterling, David Lee Shaw (Brandy) of Springfield, Mark T. Armstrong of Riverton, Tracy Peterman (Trent) of Sherman and Nathan Armstrong (Autumn) of Chatham; his grandchild Eden Armstrong of Sherman; and his siblings, Metta Ellen Burgoyne, Mike Armstrong, Greg Armstrong (Tila), Jim Armstrong (Carol) and Dennis Armstrong. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Illinois COVID-19 guidelines will be followed, requiring face coverings.
