He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Ailey and Adelia Ailey (Ulitzsch); his wife Betty Ann Musgraves; his siblings, William Ailey, Wanda Bull and Nancy Quakenbush; and his brother-in-law Gene Quakenbush.
He is survived by: his children, Shane Ailey (Jill) of New Palestine, IN and Michelle Ward (Glenn) of Virginia Beach, VA; his grandchildren, Olivia Ward and Ethan Ward; his siblings, Norman Ailey (Linda) of Ashkum, Wendell Ailey (Fiona) of Woodland, Don Ailey of Watseka, Nelda Roth (Bobby) of Watseka, Donna Suver (Bruce) of Onarga and Lila Hill (Larry) of Champaign; and his close friend Eileen Hanna of Watseka. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
