Robert Reynolds Obituary
Robert "Rocky" Reynolds, 77, of Sheldon, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at Accolade Healthcare of Danville, IL.
He was born June 24, 1945 in Watseka, IL to the late Wilber and Stephanie (Fink) Reynolds. Rocky was a 1963 graduate of Sheldon High School and received an associate degree from Illinois Commercial College majoring in General Business.
Rocky proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge.
His marriage was to Martha York on January 24, 1970 in Indianapolis and she survives.
He was a member of the VFW and American Legion both of Sheldon. He was also a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church Kentland.
Rocky worked for Donohue Fertilizer of Sheldon for 20 years, ARCO Plant of Crescent City, IL, and drove a semi for United States Postal Service and Total Transportation. Rocky's true passion was farming and had done so for several years.
In his spare time, Rocky enjoyed camping and fishing with his children. He loved attending sporting events with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving along with his wife are their two sons, Daniel Wilber Reynolds of Sheldon and Jonathan Reynolds of Kentland. Siblings, Richard W. (Patricia) Reynolds of Sheldon and Ronald (Margo) Reynolds of Donovan, IL. Rocky loved spending time with his grandchildren, Ava Rose, Logan Robert Lee, Gabriel Joseph, Connor Lee, and Killian Thomas Reynolds.
Rocky is preceded in death by his parents, Wilber and Stephanie Reynolds.
Friends may call from 4-7 PM (CST) Thursday, December 1, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church of Kentland. Rosary Service to begin at 3:45 PM (CST). Funeral Mass 11 AM (CST) Friday, December 2, 2022 also at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment to follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Robert's name to the Alzheimer's Association or American Diabetes Association.
