We bid farewell to John M. Kidwell of Sheldon, Illinois, born in Hammond, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 28, 2024 at the age of 84. John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by : his parents, John H. Kidwell and Marcella Kidwell (Brands); his siblings, Thomas Kidwell, Theresa Kidwell and Joanne Clark; his brother-in-law Jeffrey Stineburg; his son-in-law Brent Young; and his grandson Tucker Fleming.

He is survived by : his wife Mary Nagele; his children, Pamela Young of Danville, IL, Kenneth Kidwell, Christopher Kidwell, John Kidwell and Matthew Kidwell; and his siblings, David Kidwell, Mary Barrett of Lowell, IN, Angela Curwick, Jeanne Greives, Marcella Stineburg of Ft. Wayne, IN, Margaret Schwartz, Patrice Besse and Joseph Kidwell. He is also survived by his family, especially his 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 3rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (409 E Allen St, Kentland, IN 47951). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, July 3rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

Memorials may be made in his name to St. Joseph Catholic Church of Kentland.
