He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Lowell and Thelma Mildred Elder (Stirrett); his brother Carl Elder; his brother-in-law John F. Orton; his parents-in-law, Ernest C. and Carolyn K. Hardsaw; and his nephews, Terry Elder, Rusty Elder and Christopher Hardsaw.
He is survived by: his wife Connie J. Hardsaw; his brothers, Lowell Elvin Elder (Tish) of Great Bend, KS and Ronnie Elder of Bethany, IL; and his siblings-in-law, Dee Elder of Sullivan, IL, Denise Orton of Penitas, TX and Mark Hardsaw (Debbie) of Mode, IL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to Habitat for Humanity.
