He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry L. "Skeezix" Thompson and Beverly Gene Cutler Thompson; and his stepfather Elmer Kingston, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his sons, Andrew Thompson (Laura) of Shelbyville, IL and Luke Thompson (Mary) of Shelbyville, IL; his grandchildren, Samantha Cohan (Jim), Matthew Thompson (Talina), David Thompson, Brittany Thompson and Cooper Thompson; and his great grandchildren, Sawyer Cohan, Leonard Cohan, Isaac Cohan, Atticus Cohan, Ellieanna Hutt, Ametheya Thompson, Xavier Thompson and Jacob Thompson.
Memorials may be given to Shelbyville High School Boys Baseball.
