She was predeceased by: her parents, Delmar Shafer and Dorothy Juhnke Shafer. She is survived by: her husband David Schwerman of Shelbyville, IL; her children, James Schwerman (Valerie) of Shelbyville, IL and Krista Ewerks (Keith) of Philo, IL; her grandchildren, Zechariah Schwerman, Megan Schwerman, Kalynne Fitzwilliam (Ethan), Kourtney Ewerks and Karson Ewerks; her great grandchild Emmett Fitzwilliam; and her brother Gary Shafer (Susan) of Maple Grove, MN.
Memorials may be given to the Lutheran Care Center and mailed to Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, 415 N. Broadway, Shelbyville, IL.
