He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Jerome and Lala R. Evans (Hawyer); his wife Mabel; and his sister Betty Houston (Don). He is survived by: his children, Richard Evans (Teresa) of Terra Haute, IN, Stephen Evans (Pennie) of Mt. Vernon, IL and Rebecca Huber (Paul Brooks) of Shelbyville, IL; and his grandchildren, Jennifer Moloney, Michael Evans, Jimmy Hedderich, Hank Evans, Danny Evans, Amy Evans, Travis Huber and Samantha Graham. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.

Memorials may be given to First Church of the Nazarene or Saving Orphaned Animals, both in Shelbyville.
