He was predeceased by: his parents, Dannie Gene and Imogene "Jean" Fern Long (Wilson); his stepfathers, Roger Teel and Jerry Nutt; his grandparents, Harlan, Fern Wilson and Levin Long; his brother-in-law Mickey Beck; his parents-in-law, Velma Woods Banasiewicz and Paul Banasiewicz; and his pet Madeline.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret A. Woods; his daughters, Jessica Hughes of Port Orchard, WA, Hannah Hart of Port Orchard, WA and Mallory Acosta of Virginia; his stepsons, Eric Spencer (Colleen) of Cumberland City, TN and Stuart Spencer of Windsor, IL; and his siblings, Tommie Long (Susan) of Carthage, IL, Carla Beck of Altamont, IL, Kristie Metro of Florida and Jeri Jordan (Chuck) of Jacksonville, IL. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shelby County Honor Guard and mailed to Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, 415 North Broadway, Shelbyville, IL.
