He is survived by: his wife Guylene Emert; his daughters, Kimberly Emert (Troy Allen) of Niantic and Brandi Linville of Windsor; his grandchildren, Mason Novak (Marissa) and Samantha Emert; his great grandchildren, Zoe, Eli, Asher Emert and Cecylia Novak; and his siblings, Thomas Emert (Wanda) of Decatur, Kathy Dickinson of Decatur and Madeline Pugsley (Herb) of Decatur.
