Carol J. Woods Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol J. Woods of Shelbyville, Illinois, who passed away on April 15, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Reynolds (Charlie) and Wilma Reynolds (Connelly); her brother Charles Reynolds (Don); and her brother-in-law Donald "Curly" Welton. She is survived by: her children, David Woods (Barb) of Shelbyville, Diane Cruitt of Sullivan and Doug Woods of Shelbyville; her grandchildren, Nikki Stroud (Rickie) of Waco, TX, Christopher Woods (Stephanie) of Taylorville, IL, Ashley Reilly (Jon) of Parker, CO, Tony Cruitt (Natasha) of Arlington, VA, Kelli Cruitt of Sullivan, IL and Alexis Woods of Dixon, IL; her sisters, Cheryl Welton of Shelbyville and Cherie Buatte (Dave) of Bethalto, IL; her sister-in-law Nina Reynolds of Decatur, IL; and her cousin Ginnie Hostetler. She is also survived by twelve great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Calendar Howe & Yockey Funeral Home (415 N Broadway St, Shelbyville, IL 62565). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to First Baptist Church in Shelbyville or Shelby County Senior Center.
