He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Nelson and Edna Nelson (Horrocks). He is survived by: his wife Joanne A. Hewitt; his sons, Michael (Lori) of McHenry, IL and David (Laura) of Galena, IL; his grandchildren, Rachel Hansen (Greg), Angus of Boulder, CO and Cooper (Melissa) of Highlands Ranch, CO; and his sister Marian Middleton.
