With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Jo (Mitchell) York of Shawneetown, Illinois, born in Enfield, Illinois, who passed away on October 14, 2020 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Mitchell and Cora Mitchell (Biggerstaff); her siblings, Paul, Wilford, Gene, John Mitchell, Gertrude Mitchell and Ann Hannigan; her siblings-in-law, Harold, Edward, Gilbert York, Don Luster, Tom Hannigan, Virginia, Ruth Mitchell, Nina and Judy York; her parents-in-law, Earl and Bertha York; and her granddaughter Samantha Luckett.
She is survived by: her husband Delbert York; her children, Mark York (Nadine) of Equality, IL, Pat York (Mary) of Omaha, IL, Anita Isaacs (Marc) of Westfield, IN, Denise Luckett (Scott) of Junction, IL and Mike York (Ginger) of Carrier Mills, IL; her grandchildren, Emily, Ella, Gareth York, Jake York (Maegan), Andrea Woods (JD), Danielle Krikie (Dylan), Nicole, Thomas, Eric York, David (Meghan), Alex (Alli), Michael (Lori), Kyle Isaacs (Caroline), Rachael Gourley (Jason), Jessica Freebourn (Tom), Blake Luckett (Shana), Elaina Shoulders (Jacob), Mary Abigail Luckett, Kate Leifer (Jacob), Hannah Dick (Greg), Colin York (Jessica) and Phillip York; her siblings, Bernie Mitchell (Marie) of Enfield, IL and Helena Luster of Denton, TX; and her siblings-in-law, Bob York of Enfield, IL, Bill York (Connie) of Fairfield, IL and Frances York of Carmi, IL. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; and innumerable friends.
Due to Corona Virus restrictions and the large size of the immediate family, there will be no visitation.
