We are sad to announce that on July 20, 2020, at the age of 71, Laverta Joyce Berlin of Shawneetown, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Wilbert Chapman and Dorothy Laverne Smith (Oldham); and her husband George Albert Berlin. She is survived by: her sons, George Berlin Jr. of Shawneetown and Ronnie Berlin of Burlington, Kentucky; and her siblings, Billy (Sherry Rigsby Sr.), James (Catherine Rigsby), Sheila (Patrick Underwood) and Dolores Rigsby of Shawneetown.

Due to Covid-19, masks and social distancing will be required.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Emmanuel United Methodist Church.
