He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Head and Sarah Elizabeth Head (Williams); his grandson Brandon Michael Head; and his sisters, Wilma Ruth McDermott, Eula Mae Berlin and Sarah Elizabeth Rich.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jo Head of Shawneetown; his children, Mike (Phyllis Head) and Robin (Robert Stacy); his brother Bill Head of Shawneetown; his grandchildren, Jamie Stricklin of Shawneetown, Robin (Brad Riggs) and Amber (Justin Anthony); his great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Harper, Chloe and Natalie; and his caregiver Robin Moore.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Southern Illinois.
