Betty Downen Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Downen (Shawneetown, Illinois), who passed away on August 13, 2019, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hank Deitz and Opal Deitz (Maynard); her grandson Chris Downen; and her siblings, Tommy Jo Deitz and Linda Westbrook.
She is survived by: her husband Bob Downen; her sons, Bobby Downen (Katie), John David Downen (Lori), Steve Downen (Kristy Bosaw) and Matt Downen (Julie); her grandchildren, Courtney Downen, Jordan Ahrens, Hank, Kassidy, Lucas, Wyatt Downen, Hayley, Rogers, Cale Downen and Maggie Downen; her great grandchildren, Henry, Megan, Gracie, Jake, Ava, Kaden, Drew, Liam, Walker, Barrett and Graham; and her great great grandchild Joseph. She is also survived by children, grandchildren and friends.
Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Shawneetown Library or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
