With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joseph G. David of Sharpsburg, Illinois, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph G. David and Louise David (Blanche); and his wife Nancy Vice. He is survived by: his daughter Carol "Sue" Smith; his grandson Tyler Joseph Smith; his great grandchildren, Dawson, Easton and Madeline Smith; his sisters, Suzanne Fowler and Donna Durham Chase; his pet Mister Luke; and his niece Amy Cook. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Shafer-Perfetti & Assalley Funeral Home (202 W Franklin St, Taylorville, IL 62568). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
