We bid farewell to Marie Kerr of Shannon, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 4, 2025 at the age of 101. Marie touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Voss and Edna Voss (Roberts); her husband Norman Kerr; her son Gerald Kerr; and her siblings, Kenny, Milford, Howard, Virgil, Laverne and Marjorie Manthei.
She is survived by: her children, Eugene Kerr (Kay) of Shannon, Barbara Smith (Clark) of Sterling and Juleen Fellows (Steve) of Freeport; and her daughter-in-law Connie Kerr of Orangeville. She is also survived by her 15 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hermann Funeral Home (37 E Market St, Shannon, IL 61078). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
A memorial fund has been established.
