He was predeceased by: his spouse Shirley J. Shaw; his parents, George Shaw and Elizabeth Shaw; and his brother John (late Bonnie). He is survived by: his daughters, Cynthia Coleman (James) and Sandra Bryant (Kenneth); his grandchildren, Brian (Sarah), Robert (Gina), Sean (Elizabeth), Shannon Coleman, Kenneth, Sarah Bryant, George R. Shaw, Rebecca Gorski (Luke), Abbey, Matthew (Sarah), Hunter and Lillian Shaw; and his brother Charles Shaw.
