He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Hammonds and Mary Lou Hammonds (Young); and his brother-in-law Robert McGhee. He is survived by: his children, Randy Hammonds (Leah) of Valier, Ryan Hammonds of Sesser and Teneva Johnston of Nashville, IL; his grandchildren, Rynlee Mae Hammonds, Byron Johnson, Zea Johnson, Tayron Johnson and KJ Johnson; his sisters, Peggy Hammonds of Sesser and Susie Skidmore (Bob) of Christopher; his mother-in-law Pam McGhee of Christopher; his sister-in-law Andrea Kelley (Gary) of Christopher; and his nieces and nephews, Sheryl Bennet of Mt Vernon, Jamie Hammonds of DuQuoin, Alicia Pickles (Donnie) of Marion, Ricky Shumate (Stacy) of Baldwin, MO and R. J. Kuh (Jessie) of Benton.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
