It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Leida Ellen Downen of Sesser, Illinois, who passed away on February 19, 2021, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Edmond Bates and Sybil Bates (Harrison); her children, Freddie Downen and Patsy Eubanks; her grandson Kent Eubanks; and her siblings, Harry, Elmer, Dale, Howard Bates, Arcada Prior, Edna Hamilton, Juanita Dilliner and Mary Lou Hoofer.
She is survived by: her children, Jimmy Downen (Glenda) of Ina, Ernie Downen (Vicki) of Scheller, Steve Downen of Sesser and Susie Miller of Sesser. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
