He was predeceased by: his parents, Reggie Garner and Ruth Garner (Stodghill); his wife Barbara Garner (McGovern); his son Danny Garner; his brother Billie Garner; and his children-in-law, Larry Pettit and Debbie Garner.
He is survived by: his children, Lonnie Garner (Cheryl), Jayne Pettit and Dawn Garner; his grandchildren, Laura Garner-Mayer (Brent), Craig Garner (Melodee), Kristen Anastasi, Justin Dickey (Ashley), Shane Garner (Bethany) and Drew Pettit (Kayelee); and his great grandchildren, Maty Garner, Jaycee Garner, Haydon Mayer, Caleb Lewis, Josie Anastasi, Emmalyn Dickey, Cru Garner, Nora Dickey, Ellie Garner, Cala Garner, Lahna Pettit, Croix Garner and Isla Pettit.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sesser-Valier Athletics and will be accepted at the Brayfield-Gilbert Funeral Home and also at the cemetery.
