With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Darrell Ray Brown of Sesser, Illinois, who passed away on January 12, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Brown and Alma Brown (Newbury); and his parents-in-law, Charles and Freda Webb. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Brown (Webb) of Sesser; his son Guy Brown of Marion; his sister Linda Miller (Terry) of Sesser; his siblings-in-law, Chuck Webb (Debbie) of Ewing, Linda Holman (Clay) of Waterloo, Carolyn Zettler (Rod) of Sesser and Brenda Witcher (Rick) of Mulkeuytown; and his nieces and nephews, Angela Furlow (John) of Benton, Laura Simpkins (Ryan) of Farmington, NM, Rich Miller (Selena) of Sesser, Jared Webb of Benton, Caleb Webb (Rebecca) of Benton, Brian Holman (Tammy) of Waterloo, Steve Holman (Brittanye) of Palm Desert, CA, Justin Holman (Ali) of Benton, Mark Holman (Andrea) of Mt. Juliet, TN, Travis Zettler (Chelsea) of Sesser and Tim Witcher (Hunter) of Sesser.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Brayfield-Gilbert Funeral Home (102 W Callie St, Sesser, IL 62884). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Sesser First Baptist Church Benevolence Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
