She was predeceased by: her parents, George Shales and Helen Shales (Grandgeorge); her husband Robert Riveland; her sister Donna L. Smith; her son-in-law John Durbin; and her stepfather Leonard Schmidt.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Durbin of Peoria Heights and Ronald Riveland of Serena; her grandchildren, Jake Durbin (Amy), Randy Riveland (Trista), Ryan Riveland (Callie) and Alex Riveland (Kelsey); her great grandchildren, Emma Durbin, Ryder, Addysen, Kinzlee Riveland, Logan Riveland, Lilly and Arlo Riveland; her nephews, Bruce and Scott; and her niece Candy.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Turner-Eighner Funeral Home - Somonauk (13160 US-34 W, Somonauk, IL 60552). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Oak Ridge Cemetery (2400 Suydam Rd, Sandwich, IL 60548).
Memorials may be directed to Serena United Methodist Church, Open Door, the Serena Lion's Club, Serena Fire Department or the charity of one's choice.
