It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Francis Maierhofer of Seneca, Illinois, born in Morris, Illinois, who passed away on August 19, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mathias Maierhofer and Marie Maierhofer (Blaine); his wife Vivian Phillips; and his brother Robert "Bud" Maierhofer. He is survived by: his children, Robert Maierhofer (Sally), Pat Knapp (Don), Rick Maierhofer (Julie) and Paul Maierhofer (Cindy); his grandchildren, Matt Maierhofer (Amberley), Molly Kaminski (Nick), Michael Maierhofer (Liz), Jacob Knapp (Tammy), Chad Knapp (Kirsten), Mari Seggebruch (Brandon), Jena Sheedy (Michael), Jill Caputo (Chad), Janelle Chamberlain (Andrew), Megan Maierhofer and Mackenzie Maierhofer; his brother Jim Maierhofer (Peggy); and his sister-in-law Betty Phillips. He is also survived by 22 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
