He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Rivett and Beatrice Rivett (Spinney); his spouse Isabell M. Huss of Marseilles; and his siblings, Margaret Johnson, John, Paul and Burton.
He is survived by: his daughters, Carolyn Ann Gibson of Morris, Joyce Thomas (Leo) of Ottawa, Jodie Rivett of Seneca and Connie Towne (Donald) of Ottawa; his grandchildren, Megan Adams (Jeremiah), David Gibson, Ashley (Michael) and Ronald Towne; his great grandchildren, Graham Thomas and Elise Michaela Adams; and his siblings, Robert and Barbara Summers (John).
