He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Carson and Dorothy B. Carson (Keilman); and his sister Diane Peterson (Roger). He is survived by: his wife Gladys Irene Greer; his sons, Jeffrey B. Carson (Teri) of Letts and Cole J. Carson (Ruth) of Fairbanks, Alaska; his grandsons, Jeffrey Carson of Letts, Connor Carson of Letts, Tyler Carson (Callie) of Central City, Luke Carson of Fairbanks and Jacob Carson of Denver, Colorado; his stepgrandchildren, Danielle Johnson and David Johnson (Jessica); and also Dudley Carson of Sarasota, Florida.. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren.
