He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Witges and Verna Witges (Klingler); his wife Helen Kujawa; his son David Witges; and his siblings, Leonard Witges, Richard Witges, Charles Witges, Alice Radake, Hilda Kowalski and Dorothy McKay.

He is survived by: his children, Gerald Witges (Rose) of Teutopolis, IL, Clarence Witges (Bonnie) of Scheller, Steven Witges (Jackie) of Effingham, Karen Pelker (Walt) of Scheller and Kevin Witges (Julia) of Scheller; and his sister-in-law Hilda Witges of Scheller. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
