He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert and Martha; and his brother Douglas. He is survived by: his wife Mona; his daughters, Penny Zasadny (Ronald) and Rena Hopkins (Mike); his granddaughter Rose; and his sister Martha Merchant (Marty).
