He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Nicol and Katherine Nicol; and his sister Diana Charnota (Andrew). He is survived by: his wife Michelle Metzger-Nicol; his child Tj Nicol; his stepchildren, Katelynn Valdes and Brenden Valdes; his stepmother Maryanne Nicol; and his sibling Sandy Vrugt (Adriaan).
