With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Wachsmuth of Schaumburg, Illinois, born in Montclair, California, who passed away on August 5, 2020 at the age of 34. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Virginia and Robert; his sister Amanda Wachsmuth Heavens (Nicholas Gray Heavens); his foster sister Bonnie Shipley; his nieces and nephews, Aria and Aragorn; his parents-in-law, Leslie and Dave Kruser; his adoptive parents, Robert Wachsmuth and Virginia Wachsmuth; his significant other Natalie; and also Ron Heitman of Evangel Church. He was also cherished by many cousins and numerous friends.

While their original wedding plans were interrupted by Covid-19 and cancer, they were still able to enjoy a Christian wedding ceremony while Rick lay in the hospital.
