He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Susan Holzkamp (Robert), Deborah Ahlert (Mike), Cynthia Zydowsky (William), Lori Bottoni (Timm) and Dennis LaFever (Lois); his grandchildren, Jennifer Clark (Cameron), Samantha Selvaggio (Anthony), Matthew Holzkamp (Jena), Michael Ahlert (Cassidy), Emily Irizarry (Edison), Christina Haynes (Thomas), Amanda Ahlert (Matthew Prusak), Rebecca LaFever, Weston LaFever (Danii) and Olivia Bottoni; his great grandchildren, Evelyn, Maxine, Maryn, Ruby, Stella, Adalynn, Elayna and Charlotte; and his siblings, Vic Snyder (Rose), Janet Lough and Pat Waggoner. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
