He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Diana Shunnarah; his children, Mary Connie Gibson, Mona Joy Cecala (Michael Grebenor), Mazen Shunnarah (Anita) and Maha Hani (Tony); his grandchildren, Conner, Ricky, Joey, Mikey, Krystle, Naeem, Diana, Anthony and Jonathan; his parents, Farah Rayyan Shunnarah and Nicola Shunnarah; and his sibling Hanna Shunnarah.
