Father George Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Father George of Schaumburg, Illinois, who passed away on April 7, 2025 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, may Father find peace everlasting, cradled in the gentle embrace of the universe. And as we stand on the shores of remembrance, may his legacy inspire us to live each day with purpose, passion, and profound gratitude for the gift of life itself.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Joseph Kane and Mary Helen Kane; and his sister Margaret Mary Norris. He is survived by: his brother Thomas Raymond Kane. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and great grand nieces and nephews.
The lying in state was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM. A prayer was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Holy Family Catholic Community (2515 W Palatine Rd, Inverness, IL 60067). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Church of the Holy Spirit (1451 Bode Rd, Schaumburg, IL 60194).
