He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Wenzel and Ruth Wenzel (Musgrove); his wife DoLores M. Coates; and his brothers, Dick and Alan Wenzel.
He is survived by: his sons, Donald E. Wenzel (Marilyn) of Galena, IL and Daniel R. Wenzel (Linda) of Scales Mound, IL; his grandchildren, Scott Wenzel (Stephanie), Matt Wenzel (Amber), Amy Daves, Melissa Dittmar (Matt) and Greg Wenzel (Crystal); and his friend Sara Flanagan of Darlington, WI. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a David L. Wenzel Memorial Fund has been established.
