He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Menzemer and Carrie Menzemer (Gugler); his daughter Lana Kay Saam; his granddaughter Carma Sue Menzemer; and his siblings, Blanchard, Marvin, Kermit, Vivian, Velma, Delores and Beverly.

He is survived by: his wife Marilyn J. Koester of John's Lutheran Church; his children, Duane "Fuzzy" Menzemer of Stockton, IL and Gina Nedelcoff (Mike) of Bettendorf, IA; his grandchildren, Tania Saam, Tyler Saam (Stefanie), Terra Vellema and Austin Nedelcoff (Meredith); his great grandchildren, Alana, Joey Saam, Weston and Alec Vellema; and his son-in-law Keith Saam of Dubuque, IA..

A graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Zion Presbyterian Cemetery.
