It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ralph Heavilin of Saybrook, Illinois, born in Gibson City, Illinois, who passed away on May 1, 2023, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Heavilin and Jessie McRae Heavilin; his wife Kathryn "Katie" Sweeney; and his siblings, David, Donnie, Steve, Ray, Jerry and Betty Sue.

He is survived by: his grandchildren, Trevor, Harley Jo, Brodie, Allison and Cody; his siblings, Delmar Heavilin (Sharon) of Gibson City, Dorothy Lilienthal of Carlock, Larry Heavilin (Florence) of Leroy, Kenny Heavilin (Sue) of Leroy, Tom Heavilin (Sharon) of Gibson City, Bev Baker (Allen) of Melvin and Roger Heavilin (Teresa) of Saybrook; and his sisters-in-law, Martha Heavilin, Trudy Heavilin and Suzie Heavilin. He is also survived by his family and many friends.

“So very sorry to hear of Ralphs passing. Ralph and I use to work together for several years. Ralph was a good mentor to me during our work years together. He was one of the good ol boys that would answer all your questions with either a smile or a smart ass remark. This must have been the reason we got along so well. He will be missed Rest In Peace Ralph until we meet again.”
