It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Swope Joseph B of Savoy, Illinois, born in West York, Illinois, who passed away on December 3, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Swope and Margaret Wheeler Swope; his daughter Judith Ann; and his siblings, Kenneth, Lee, June Graham and Velda Mills.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Bonesteel; his sons, Larry Lee Swope (Faith) of Beaumont and Michael Ray Swope (Mishelle) of Bellville; his stepson William Wesley Cornwell (Sheri) of Melrose; and his daughter Peg Cain of Robinson. He is also survived by six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Joseph Benjamin Swope, 89, of Savoy died at 11:59 p.m. Friday, December 3, 2021, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana.
