He was predeceased by: his parents, James Behrends and Adeline Behrends; his wife Janis Zipse of Mt. Sterling, IL.; and his brother Robert. He is survived by: his children, Anita Behrends Craig (Dan), Steven Behrends (Charlene) of Naperville, IL, Sue Behrends Knapp (Gary) of Omaha, NE and Paul Behrends (Noreen) of Foosland, IL; his sister Mary Behrends Fry of Hersman, IL.; his grandchildren, Austin Craig (Lindsay), Tyler Knapp (Leah), Whitney Craig, Ashley Behrends Landek (Matt) and Emma Knapp; and his great grandchildren, Carter Craig, Reagan, Morgan Landek and Mila Knapp.
