He was predeceased by: his father Melvin Lewis Alexander; his brothers, Donald Alexander and John "Jack" Alexander; his mother Lois Alexander Miller; and his stepfather George Miller.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Alexander; his children, Jan Alexander of Savoy, Valerie Vallese (Ray) of Champaign and Brian Alexander (Ronna) of Douglas, Michigan; his grandchildren, Marlee, Lucy, Olive Alexander, Trevor and Delaney Vallese; his sisters-in-law, Deanna Alexander of Champaign and Terry Alexander of Manchester, Maryland; and his stepbrother Glen Miller (Mary) of Seymour. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family for a memorial bench and tree at the Champaign County Forrest Preserve.
