It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Lyle P. Fettig of Savoy, Illinois, who passed away on January 1, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Fettig and Emma Fettig; and his siblings, Marilyn Fox (Richard), Shirley Itsell (Charles), Wayne Fettig (Elaine), Margaret Acker and Fred Foltz.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his children, Lyle, Jr. (Rachel), John (Angel) and Katharine (Benjamin); his grandchildren, Ezra, Emlyn, Oliver, Jack and Lyle Benjamin; his siblings, Arlene Foltz, Kenneth Fettig (Margaret) and Emily Daniel (Norman); and his brother-in-law James Acker. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry at St. Patrick Parish in Urbana, Illinois, to Our Lady of Grace Monastery in Beech Grove, Indiana, or to an organization of the donor's choosing. Lyle's family would like to thank his healthcare team for their compassionate care, especially the nurses and other team members on the Oncology Unit at Carle Foundation Hospital, Carle Palliative Care, and Carle Home Health and Hospice.
